Rubble Soling Rate Analysis

We already discussed about procedure of rubble soling analysis, as well as discussed about checklist of rubble soling. Now in this blog we will discuss about rate analysis of rubble soling work, with it’s types and detailed calculation of work.

Soling is generally used at below PCC, soling is very useful to transferring the load from structure to earth, soling is directly placed on rock or hard surface, lot of times excavated rock surface is not in level, in these location we need to place rubble soling to cover the undulations in surface to work further.

Generally thickness of Rubble Soling is 230-300 mm, because is it very easy to work as well as the size of stone is uneven so we need to do rubble soling with skilled peoples to avoid the gaps, skilled peoples can place the stone with suitable location and in level also, to fill the gaps they are using small stone chips, and the minimum stone gaps can fill with murum. After doing some compaction we can get uniform surface to work further. Before bidding any tenders contractors are facing some questions are as follows.

what about its rate analysis?

Rubble soling is first work which is need to procure the new material, therefore rate analysis is very important for rubble soling work.

How to decide the Rates of rubble soling?

This is the very big problem which are facing new contractors.

How to calculate exact rate for rubble soling?

To calculate the exact rate of rubble soling work need to know actual market rates and we are giving here actual rate analysis formats.

How to decide the constant?

Constants are decide are per work specification which is clearly mentioned in tender copy.

What is labour rate?

To know the labour rate need to do little market survey.

What is Material Rate?

Material rate is depend on Quality of material, quantity of work, supplier and site distance.

Now in this session we are going to calculate the rate analysis with preparation of analysis format in excel.

Rate analysis of Rubble Soling

Required Material & Labour

Material: 200-300 mm Stones , Murum, Construction Water

Labour: Skilled Labour which are expert in stone work.

There are two types of rubble soling which are commonly used in construction industry. When you are calculating the constant of rubble soling, there is big voids while material coming on site, If you ordered one brass material from quarry you will get only 70-80% because of it’s voids, that means if you want to work 100 Sq ft or 1 Brass then need to order 1.25 brass which is almost 25% more than your requirement.

If you want to calculate the rate in another unit you can convert this or make another rate analysis to get the exact rate of particular work.

Rate Conversion will be as follows

Rate for  01 Sq ft = Rs. 35.00

Rate for 01 Sqm = Rs. 377.00

Those rate may be varies as per location to location and also it is depending on quantum of work also if work quantity is huge then rate can be negotiable.

Before finalize the rate carefully check the current market rate of labour and material. Which will very helpful to bid any tenders or give any quotations.
