Excavation Work is the first task before starting any construction, there are many types of excavations like by machinery, by manual, by the breaker, by tunnel cutter, by blasting, mining, etc. there are lots of types of excavation. But when we are going to start actual work, we are facing a big question.

Now in this the blog we are working on this Question, and it is called a Rate Analysis of Excavation work.

 

Types of Rate Analysis

1. Excavation up to 0.00m to 1.50m Depth
2. Excavation up to 1.50m to 3.00m Depth
3. Excavation up to 3.00m to 4.50m Depth
4. Excavation up to 4.50m to 6.00m Depth

Those are some types of Excavation rate analysis, where we can again distribute this in the following items.

• Excavation in Soft Soil
• Excavations in Soft Murum
•  Excavations in Hard Murum
• Excavations in Soft Rock
• Excavations in Hard Rock
• Excavations by Breaker

These are a few sub-tasks of excavation work. Now we will work on all of the items, one by one, and do the actual rate analyses so we can be easily know what is exact rate of excavation and what cost required bidding while tendering.

1.Excavation in Soft Soil.

In this type of Excavation work we need to find out the actual material type of earthwork, it should be soft soil if this is harder and cannot be possible to excavate by manual, or cannot be excavated by machine bucket then should change the rate of work, because it will be the costly than excavation in soft soil. Some of our contractors keep all the record as per the level and excavation depth. They are doing the simple thing 1^st excavating soft material by machine Bucket and then take all the reading of excavated level. And then start excavation in hard Murum or hard rock actually this the standard practice and all should follow this, All actual ground levels will help you get the exact quantity of the excavation area, as well as you will put the bill according to it.

2.Excavation in Soft Soil. (By Bucket)

Earthwork in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means over areas Up to  1.5 m including Lifting & Shifting on Site.

In this type of work, we should check the strata of the ground, where we can sell this Murum to the other party, but at this time we should check the distance between the to site. If the distance is more than 10km we need to work on the rate.

6. Excavation in Hard Rock. (BY Breaker/Without Blasting)

Excavation work by Hydraulic excavator up to 1.5m, including Excavated material shifting on Site. 

The rate of shifting of material is considered on-site, but if there is no space to spread the excavated material so you need to shift all the excavated material to another place other than the site, the rate of shifting of excavated material depends on the distance between two sites.
